We are looking for an experienced IT Architect to join an international team implementing projects for a large public sector organization operating in the field of disaster risk management. In this position, you will be responsible for designing and developing the application and integration architecture of complex, web-based information systems.

Daily tasks

  • Design application and integration architecture for complex, web-based information systems.
  • Apply distributed architecture and microservices patterns.
  • Design REST API and interface contracts.
  • Incorporate Identity & Access Management (IAM) mechanisms.
  • Analyze different architectural variants in terms of: security, maintainability, scalability, performance, costs.
  • Communicate architectural recommendations to stakeholders and technical teams.

Requirements

Higher education and 10–17 years of professional experience (depending on the level of education). Mandatory AWS Professional + AWS Specialty certificate or an equivalent cloud certificate at the Professional+ level. Min. 5 years of experience in application architecture and the development of complex web systems. Min. 3 years of experience in API design, system integration, and distributed/microservices architecture. Min. 4 years of experience with Python (Django, Django REST Framework, FastAPI). Min. 5 years of experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, including min. 3 years with React or Angular. Min. 5 years of experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS and/or SQL Server. Min. 3 years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and CI/CD. Min. 3 years of experience with Web GIS, geospatial data, or mapping services. Experience in data migration and processing, monitoring, security, performance optimization, and technical documentation. English at a minimum B2 level. Very good communication, teamwork, and work organization skills; readiness to work in an international environment and on multiple projects simultaneously.
