Finance Transition Manager

For our client, we are looking for experienced Finance Transition Managers to participate in the II phase of a large Finance transformation program. The project involves the migration of financial processes to a Global Business Services (GBS) / Shared Services model.

Location: Readiness for frequent travel within Germany and the Middle East. Base: United Kingdom, Poland, or Germany.

This is a hands-on consulting role, covering the entire transformation cycle – from assessment and target model design, through knowledge transfer and parallel run, to process stabilization.

Daily tasks

• Leading end-to-end transformation of Finance processes, such as P2P, O2C, R2R, and FP&A.
• Managing migration planning, knowledge transfer, parallel run, and stabilization.
• Maintaining the RAID log, identifying risks, and escalating issues.
• Collaborating with local teams, retained Finance, and GBS.
• Supporting the design of standardized Finance operating models.
• Identifying process gaps, inefficiencies, and standardization opportunities.
• Collaborating with process owners to define target processes, controls, and SOPs.
• Conducting workshops, project status updates, and meetings with senior stakeholders.
• Monitoring milestones, dependencies, risks, and migration progress.
• Ensuring the transformation is executed in a controlled, auditable, and compliant manner.

Requirements

Requirements Experience in Finance Transition, Finance Transformation, or GBS/Shared Services migrations within a consulting or advisory environment. Experience in leading transformations and migrations – this is not an operational/BAU role. Very good knowledge of P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A, or similar processes. Fluent German and English – both spoken and written. Readiness to work on-site in Germany, including for longer periods. Experience in multi-country / multi-stakeholder projects. Strong competencies in project management, governance, and RAID management. Very good stakeholder management skills with senior stakeholders. Experience collaborating with German works councils / employee representative bodies will be an additional asset.
