Tasks

This position is located in the research group Pharmacometrics for global health. The planned projects concern pediatric treatment of tuberculosis with recently approved drugs and drug candidates in later clinical development phases. The projects are carried out within international collaborations with the participation of industry partners. The tasks will include model-based pharmacokinetic analysis of clinical data from pediatric studies with the aim of generating dosage recommendations, participation in the development of study protocols including planning of dosage and sampling times, as well as pharmacometric support to study teams during the implementation phase. Results will be reported continuously in presentations for collaboration partners and communicated in conference presentations and scientific articles.

Qualification requirements

Great importance is placed on personal suitability as well as documented interest in pharmacometrics and applications within global health. Applicants must have good collaborative and communication skills and be able to express themselves well in speech and writing in English. Experience of programming in R as well as pharmacometrics software such as NONMEM or Monolix is a requirement.

Desirable/merit-based

Completed a research education with the prospect of obtaining a doctoral degree in pharmacometrics or similar science within the coming months, or a foreign degree deemed to correspond to a doctoral degree in the aforementioned subject. Previous experience of research in poverty-related infectious diseases and/or pediatric pharmacology is meritorious. Experience of working in an international environment is highly desirable.
