Wilderness Guide

Upitrek oy is a nature tourism company operating in the Kainuu and Koillismaa regions. We primarily organize week-long treks (skiing and snowshoeing) as well as multi-activity weeks for international groups.

We are looking for wilderness guides for gig work for the winter season 2026–27. With us, you can work flexibly according to your own life situation, for one or more weeks, in one or more periods.

We will arrange the work periods to suit each employee. The guide is responsible for the group from arrival to departure for the journey home, and stays and eats in the same facilities as the customers. Therefore, you do not need to find accommodation, and meals are also provided.

The workplaces are located in the Hossan (Suomussalmi) and Kylmäluoma (Taivalkoski) areas.

We require:

• wilderness guide training or equivalent knowledge and skills acquired otherwise
• self-reliance and organizational skills
• the ability to get along with different kinds of people and a customer service spirit
• good physical fitness
• fluent English skills
• EA2 qualification
