Within the embedded software department and in connection with the hardware teams and solution architects, your main mission will be to develop and maintain the operational status of the FPGA designs embedded on the payloads.
More specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Participating in the realization of the architecture, VHDL / Verilog development, and the verification of FPGA designs, with a view to their implementation on the FPGAs of our payloads.
- Manipulating both purely algorithmic blocks (signal processing, compression, etc.) and interface blocks when the controllers for these interfaces are located on the FPGA.
- Working with SoC FPGA components (integrated CPU and FPGA) and, as such, participating in the interfacing of developed designs (parameterization, data retrieval) with a Linux kernel.
- Performing various integration and validation tests on electronic boards (evaluation boards and final boards), in a continuous integration context.
- Taking charge of IPs provided by third parties and integrating them into our designs
Skills:
- Mastery of FPGA development tools from the main FPGA suppliers (Microchip, Xilinx, Intel, NanoXplore)
- Mastery of languages such as VHDL, Verilog, Python, Tcl as well as Quartus/Vivado design tools
- Good knowledge of simulation and verification tools
- Good knowledge of Asic / FPGA / SoC architecture
- Knowledge of signal processing would be an asset
- Technical English (written and read)
Furthermore:
- You also have good knowledge of the interfacing and parameterization of functionalities implemented under Linux
- You know how to write reusable code and know how to comment it
- You enjoy project management and, in this context, interacting with different professions
- You possess good synthesis skills and excellent interpersonal skills
