About the position

Do you enjoy working with administrative tasks within HR? Then you might be the colleague we are looking for! We are seeking someone to become our new HR consultant (senior consultant) in the HR section at our faculty. This is a temporary position (maternity/paternity leave substitute) for one year. The workplace will be at the MN faculty administration premises at Blindern, Oslo.

What can you expect?

The section's tasks and areas of responsibility encompass administration and advisory within the entire HR field, contributing to fulfilling the faculty's objectives and strategic plans. We deliver HR services to all faculty units, including the faculty management. We are 15 colleagues in the section, and you will become part of an engaged and tightly-knit team where we support and cheer each other on and have fun together. At the same time, we strive to deliver at a high professional level to the faculty, institutes, and centers, which total around 2000 employees. We have a wide breadth of competence and experience within the team, and you will become an important resource contributing to delivering high-quality services to the institutes. In this job, you will primarily work with personnel administrative tasks. The work tasks place high demands on accuracy and the ability to work systematically and independently. You will work together with the HR advisors who work with various institutes and centers, so you will gain good insight into how the HR section operates. You will also gain good insight into processes that ensure good administration in the public sector, and not least insight into the complexity involved in working with recruitment processes that have different requirements for case processing depending on the job category.

Your main tasks will be

Case processing (administration) of HR tasks in accordance with state laws and agreements. Examples of tasks in this position may include, among others:

  • Preparation of employment contracts
  • Processing leave applications, extensions, and resignations
  • Case processing related to WebSak and the recruitment system Jobbnorge
  • Other tasks may be assigned to the position.

What competence is important in this role?

Qualification requirements:

We want you to have:

  • Education at least equivalent to a bachelor's degree, preferably with HR as the subject area. Relevant practical competence within HR can replace the education requirement
  • Experience from HR case processing
  • Very good written and oral communication skills, in Norwegian and English
  • Good IT skills

We hope you have:

  • Knowledge of laws and agreements within the state sector, preferably the university and college sector

We use WebSak as a case processing system, SAP HR as a personnel system, and Jobbnorge as a recruitment system. Experience with these systems is an advantage.
