Contractual AI Teacher-Researcher for Robotics (M/F)
Teaching Mission The recruited person will provide a teaching load of 64 TD equivalent hours per year to strengthen pedagogical activities in the fields of data science and artificial intelligence for autonomous robotics (for example AI and robotic perception, AI for planning and decision, control and AI, human-robot interaction). They will contribute to existing courses and may develop new ones. Teaching activities will primarily target Master's level programs, in synergy with the new ERASMUS MUNDUS European Master in Sustainable Systems Engineering program (UTC, University of Genoa, Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and Polytechnic University of Tirana). The recruited person will also have the opportunity to contribute to the computer science engineering curriculum at UTC, for both initial training students and those in work-study programs.
Research Mission The recruited person will join the Heudiasyc laboratory. This position is part of the CAP (Collaboration Acceleration Program) TWINNING, "TrustWorthy Interactive augmeNted autoNomous driving", linked to the PostGenAI@Paris project led by Sorbonne Université. The project focuses on co-driving between a driver and a vehicle whose autonomous navigation, based on machine learning, is supervised by an integrity controller. Autonomous navigation on open roads remains a challenge due to the uncertain and uncontrolled nature of the environment, multiple interactions with other road users, and limits in situational understanding, which restricts the autonomous decision-making capabilities of vehicles. Our objective is to augment the driver's collaborative skills through high-performance perception, decision, and control functionalities, based on reliable and trustworthy AI models.
Additional Activities Participate in the implementation of the Sustainable Development & Social and Environmental Responsibility - DD&RSE master plan.
Contract type and provisional recruitment date Fixed-term contract - planned duration of 2 to 3 years, possible extension - to be filled in early 2027
Gross monthly salary From €2,590 to €5,000 depending on experience and funding
