Your Tasks

  • Participation in the design, establishment, and further development of the Clinical Trial Center (CTC) at the NCT West Campus Cologne
  • Independent organization and coordination of complex clinical trials, taking into account the applicable regulatory frameworks and GCP requirements
  • Implementation of studies, including study-specific clinical measures within the scope of existing professional qualifications (e.g., blood collection, ECGs, and recording of vital parameters)
  • Supervision and guidance of other team members
  • Coordination of study-related, interdisciplinary workflows and processes in close cooperation with study staff as well as the involved clinical and administrative areas and institutions
  • Participation in the creation, implementation, and further development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and study-related workflows
  • Participation in resource and personnel planning

Your Profile

  • Completed training as a healthcare and nursing professional, nursing specialist, or medical assistant (MFA)
  • Completed further training as a study assistant and/or study coordinator or equivalent further training
  • At least two years of relevant professional experience in the implementation and/or coordination of clinical trials, preferably in a patient-oriented study environment
  • Independent, structured, and responsible way of working, as well as high flexibility and resilience
  • Organizational skills and the ability to reliably coordinate complex study processes
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills and empathy, as well as enjoyment of interdisciplinary cooperation
  • Confident handling of PC and standard software (Microsoft Office)
  • Very good knowledge of the English language in spoken and written form

Your Future in Detail With the National Center for Tumor Diseases West (NCT West), a joint location is being created at the Unikliniken Köln and Essen within oneNCT. The NCT, initiated by the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) and institutionally funded by the federal and state governments, is a cornerstone of the National Decade Against Cancer and consists of a total of six equal university excellence centers. The goal of the NCT is to bring promising results from cancer research into clinical application quickly and safely and to significantly improve the care of cancer patients. The NCT West at the Cologne Campus is an integral part of the Uniklinik Köln, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Center for Integrated Oncology (CIO Köln). With 59 clinics and institutes as well as numerous other departments and facilities and over 10,000 jobs, the Uniklinik Köln is one of the largest university hospitals in Germany. In the area of the Clinical Trial Center (CTC) of the NCT West at the Cologne location, scientifically initiated clinical trials with a wide spectrum of hematological and oncological diseases are conducted.
