Your tasks:

  • Collaboration in research projects
  • Further/new development of learning algorithms, e.g., artificial neural networks (“Deep Learning”) as well as classical “Machine Learning” methods (e.g., Random Forests, Support Vector Machines) for medical data
  • Implementation and evaluation of the algorithms
  • Data pre- and post-processing including conversions and application of data augmentation techniques
  • Translation into practice: evaluation of the algorithms on empirical clinical data

Your profile:

  • Completed university degree (Diplom or Master) in Informatik, Physik or comparable
  • Excellent knowledge and practical experience in the field of “Machine Learning”, especially knowledge in handling libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, Pandas and scikit-learn
  • Excellent programming skills in Python and very good programming skills in another language
  • Confident handling of the command line (Bash) and software versioning systems (Git)
  • Experience with the Dockerization of algorithms is desirable
  • Independent working style and high motivation for autonomous problem and error analysis
  • Good written and spoken English skills
  • Very good teamwork skills
