OBJECTIVE

To establish, coordinate, and supervise institutional academic policies, strategies, and guidelines, ensuring the quality, relevance, and innovation of educational programs, continuous improvement, compliance with the Educational Model, and the attainment of accreditations, in order to strengthen academic development, teaching performance, and the national and international positioning of the institution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, organize, execute, control, and evaluate academic-administrative processes at an institutional or interdivisional level, establishing macro strategies, policies, guidelines, and control systems.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and supervise institutional development plans and budgets, as well as evaluate global performance indicators.
  • Semiannually evaluate the personal strategic planning of directors, as well as their reports, progress, and institutional impact.
  • Design and implement strategies to improve academic quality at an institutional level, establishing transversal policies and objectives in collaboration with the Director of Education and Research.
  • Measure and analyze learning processes and mission compliance, based on global indicators and institutional results to propose improvements in results.
  • Verify compliance with actions aimed at obtaining and maintaining national and international institutional accreditations and promote transversal certifications.
  • Supervise compliance with Quality Management System (SGC) procedures at a transversal level.
  • Direct the implementation of the Quality Management System in the academic field, ensuring the systematic improvement of processes and in collaboration with the corresponding areas.
  • Coordinate the review and update of plans and programs at an interdivisional level, guaranteeing their alignment with general guidelines.
  • Propose and update institutional regulations and policies, in coordination with all academic areas.
  • Approve the expansion and innovation of the educational offering based on institutional diagnostics and strategic priorities.
  • Validate and support the planning of new educational offerings from a global perspective, considering national and international relevance.
  • Propose and evaluate strategies for enrollment and retention at an institutional level.
  • Coordinate, with the Dirección de Vinculación, strategic institutional relations and national and international alliances.
  • Approve and follow up on agreements of high academic, scientific, and technological impact, aligned with the university's objectives.
  • Verify general hiring policies and academic loads, leaving direct operation to the director.
  • Ensure the timely and uniform implementation of academic decisions in all campuses, promoting active collaboration and compliance by academic directors.
  • Participate in the improvement programs and projects established by the University.
  • Others that may be entrusted to them according to the nature of the position and that are assigned by their superior.
  • Comply with and enforce the regulations of the area, as well as those that establish the regulatory norms and provisions of the University and those disposed by the higher authority.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION Undergraduate degree in Education, Gastronomy, Administration, or related. Master's degree with mandatory degree and professional license (cédula) in Education, Administration, or related.

KNOWLEDGE Educational planning, educational evaluation, research methodology, pedagogy, curricular and instructional design.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE 5 years in academic coordination or direction.

PREFERRED AGE RANGE From 35 years old and up.
