Part-time Professor - Biochemistry

Job Objective:
Teach the Molecular Biology and Biochemistry courses during the first semester of each cycle for a total of two courses, and the Genetic Engineering and Genetically Modified Organisms course during the second semester for a total of two courses in their theoretical and practical components, ensuring the proper development of competencies in students through teaching, supervision, monitoring, and continuous feedback of academic activities. Main Functions: Teach theoretical and practical classes for the assigned courses.
Plan, organize, and execute teaching-learning activities in accordance with the course program.
Supervise the development of laboratory practices, guaranteeing compliance with biosafety standards and academic quality.
Provide continuous monitoring of student performance.
Evaluate academic activities and provide timely and constructive feedback.
Develop, apply, and grade evaluation instruments.
Maintain updated academic records (attendance, grades, reports, etc.).
Coordinate with the academic department to ensure the correct execution of the course.
Participate in academic meetings when required. Institutional Support Functions: Collaborate in career promotion activities organized by the department.
Provide support in academic or institutional events according to the needs of the department.
Availability to participate in scheduled activities on Saturdays, when required. Job Requirements: Academic background in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, or related areas, preferably at the doctoral level.

Proficiency in English at a B2 level is required, allowing for the comprehension and analysis of scientific literature, as well as effective communication in academic contexts. Additionally, competencies in the use of bioinformatics platforms and tools for data analysis are valued, facilitating the interpretation of biological information and support for evidence-based teaching-learning processes.
