Purchasing and Import Assistant

Objective:
Manage national and international purchasing processes for goods and services, ensuring the best conditions of quality, price, and delivery time, through negotiation with suppliers and the follow-up of purchase orders, imports, and customs management, in accordance with institutional policies and procedures.
Main Functions: Manage purchase requests for goods and services, from quotation to the issuance and follow-up of purchase orders. Quote and conduct international negotiations with suppliers, seeking the best conditions for price, quality, delivery, and payment. Manage international purchases, coordinating documentation and payment methods with foreign suppliers. Manage import processes, including customs management and franchise requests for assigned purchases. Follow up on purchase orders until their receipt and closure, coordinating with the corresponding internal areas. Prepare and maintain updated reports on the status of requests and purchase orders. Safeguard and control the supporting documentation of the purchasing processes. Support the management of IVA exemptions and payment requests related to assigned purchases.
Academic Level:
University graduate in Administración de Empresas, Negocios Internacionales, Comercio Internacional, or a related field. Years of experience:
3 to 5 years of experience in purchasing processes, preferably with experience in international purchasing and negotiations. Specific Knowledge: Advanced English, oral and written. National and international purchasing processes. Negotiation with national and international suppliers. Customs management and import processes. Preparation and follow-up of purchase orders. Handling of documentation related to purchases and imports. Handling of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
