SECRETARY (OFFICE AUTOMATION)

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the principal assessor coordinator to the Commander of Space Base Delta 41, as well as assisting a Deputy Commander and a Director of Staff.
Major duties
Serves as a key leader coordinator for the Space Base Delta 41 Front Office, establishes, coordinates, and integrates the Delta's key leaders' calendars to ensure there is a synchronization of Delta-wide events that involve the Commander, Deputy Commanders, Command Chiefs, and Director of Staff. Serves as Secretary to the Commander of SBD 41 and provides administrative support to the Deputy Commander and Director of Staff. Provides a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring reports, schedules, correspondence and other documents from information obtained from the staff, files, and other sources. Analyzes requirements to ensure critical information is available when required. Receives telephone calls, greets visitors, and ascertains the nature of the calls or visits. Based upon knowledge of the organization and its programs and operations, determines appropriate action. Works directly with the SBD 41 staff and subordinate organizations ensuring compliance with administrative practices and procedures including flow of communications, delegation of authority, correspondence routing, and management of official files and records.
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NK-02, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-07 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations; communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex key leader issues; and maintain good working relations with internal and external organizations; knowledge to provide protocol expertise on policies and procedures for DV-level visits; knowledge of a wide range of manpower, personnel, management principles, administrative practices and procedures KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge of duties, priorities, commitments, policies and program goals of the SBD 41 Commander. Complete knowledge of SBD 41's mission. Complete understanding of the legality, goals, missions, operations, policies, and procedures that govern the SBD 41 support mission. Ability to critically analyze the Commander's, Deputy Commander's, the Director of Staff's, the Command Chief's, the Senior Enlisted Airman's and multiple Squadron Commander's schedules when scheduling key meetings, conferences, and DV-level visits to maximize key leaders' use of time. Ability to apply analytical and evaluative methods and techniques concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; negotiate complex key leader issues; and maintain good working relations with internal and external organizations. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social).
