SUPERVISORY ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the COMBAT SYSTEMS AEGIS Branch (Code 296) of SOUTHEAST REG MAINTENANCE CTR SERMC.

Major duties

• You will manage a team of technicians and engineers, ensuring the highest standards of technical support and service.
• You will develop, evaluate, and finalize performance appraisals for all direct reports, manage leave requests, and administer disciplinary measures such as warnings and reprimands.
• You will provide specialized technical training to the AEGIS Branch and advise personnel on technical and administrative matters, including workload distribution, job assignments, priorities, scheduling, and problem-solving methodologies.
• You will advise the Combat Systems Division Head on technical, functional, and authoritative changes.
• You will provide engineering guidance in accordance with established Technical Authority policy and generate engineering products regarding reliability, configuration, and system performance.
• You will provide Electronic and Engineering Technicians guidelines and coordinates complex alterations with internal technicians and engineering staff.
• You will advise designers on the latest engineering considerations for ship operations and maintenance.
• You will review and recommend changes to work orders affecting the installation of major combat systems equipment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying a broad knowledge of electronics engineering theories, concepts, and practices as applicable to naval AEGIS combat systems. Experience with design, repair, and operating conditions of complex systems like AEGIS, radar, and fire control. Experience applying and adapting an extensive knowledge of engineering theories across multiple disciplines (electrical, electronics, mechanical) to solve unique problems with no direct precedent.
