You will serve as a SERVICE SHOP RESOURCE MANAGER in the Service Shop (990), Production Resources Department Manager (901), Production Resources Department (900), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying technical knowledge as it relates to principles, concepts, and practices concerning shipyard work operations, projects, control system requirements, trade and shop practices, and the development of personnel in service shops or similar. Experience assisting with development of workload forecasts. Experience with project management applying principles, methods, and tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, and managing projects and resources, including technical performance. Experience investigating and analyzing practices, identifying specific problems and evaluating lessons learned from projects, existing working instructions from past projects, and new methods of work breakdown, while applying analytical and problem solving skills. Experience influencing, motivating, and persuading production shop and department supervisor personnel and others in positions of decisions making authority to follow different courses of action.
