MACHINIST SUPERVISOR I
You will serve as a MACHINIST SUPERVISOR I in the MECHANICAL SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Major duties
- You will fully support the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program.
- You will supervise assembly of finished parts, repair and refitting’s of shipboard components.
- You will consult with engineers, shop planners, schedulers, planners and estimators on technical problems to avoid delays and conform to schedules.
- You will ensure efficient and economical accomplishment of work assignments through subordinates, within the general work schedules set by higher levels of supervision.
