Operations Officer
About the Position: Hawaii has many outdoor activities all year-round including surfing, fishing, and hiking.
Major duties
- Serve as the expert advisor to Directorate of Public Works (DPW) Director and Deputy Director on operational activities and projects.
- Participate in the daily near-term (6-18 months) and long-range (2-5 years) planning and coordination of all functions, programs, mission and activities of DPW Operations.
- Assist in the operations and execution of Plans, Training, Taskings and synchronization with the other US Army Garrison-Hawaii Directorates.
- Assist in the execution of facility and infrastructure services, inspections and daily operational mission of personnel assigned to DPW.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes administering organizational/directorate operational plans in support of engineering and infrastructure projects; conduct site assessments to support project development; facilitate discussions with internal and external teams; develop, coordinate, and publish engineering and operational orders and taskings; and directs organizational emergency operations and emergency response teams. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
