Job Description

Are you a hands-on HR professional who enjoys switching between people, processes, and planning? Do you feel at home in an international environment where no two days are the same?

As an HR Crew Consultant, you are the first point of contact for all HR-related questions from the crew. Together with your colleagues, you ensure smooth, correct, and people-oriented HR support.

What will you do?

  • You handle various HR issues for crew members, such as salary, absences, sick leave, and holidays.
  • You manage HR-related information and processes in the Crew Management System.
  • You monitor the career and development plans of employees and ensure that agreed steps are followed up.
  • You analyze future personnel needs within your discipline and advise on the required crew capacity.
  • You actively participate in projects that make HR processes more efficient and better.
  • You keep manuals, procedures, work instructions, and checklists up-to-date.
  • You work closely with the recruiter in attracting new candidates.
  • You participate in screening and assessing candidates, in collaboration with the relevant operational department.
  • You are an accessible and reliable point of contact for the crew and build sustainable relationships with them.

We are primarily looking for someone who is hands-on, can switch gears quickly, and can set priorities well. In this environment, various matters can come at you simultaneously, and it is important that you maintain an overview.

Additionally, you recognize yourself in the following:

  • You preferably have at least 3 years of experience in a similar HR or personnel function.
  • You hold a bachelor's degree in HR or a related field, or you have built up an equivalent level through experience.
  • Experience within a maritime environment is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • You possess excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of Dutch is a strong asset.
  • You are organized, independent, and love taking on responsibility.
  • You are not afraid to roll up your sleeves and feel comfortable in a dynamic work environment.
