*Job Summary* We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental practice in Markham/Unionville.

Days Required: Tuesday, Sunday.

*Responsibilities*

• Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments by preparing instruments and materials.
• Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
• Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow efficiently.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean working environment.
• Support orthodontic procedures when necessary.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care.

*Skills*

• Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and practices.
• Familiarity with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix and Epic.
• Knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics is a plus.
• Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
