Tasks and Responsibilities
About the role
TMHE is seeking a strategic Enterprise Architect with a focus on AI and data. The role holds a central position in the work of shaping direction, principles, target architecture, and governing frameworks for scalable, harmonized, and business-aligned development within AI and data. You will create consensus between the business, AI initiatives, data platforms, and the overall Enterprise Architecture model, as well as contribute guidance and decision support in relevant governance and investment forums.
You will report to the Head of Enterprise Architecture and become part of TMHE's Enterprise Architecture team.
Tasks
The role is strategic and does not involve you personally implementing data pipelines or AI models. Instead, your mission is to create consensus, provide structure and direction, and support architecture and investment decisions in close collaboration with the AI program, the Data team, Solution Architects, and business stakeholders.
Contribute to and shape overall architecture principles, target images, and reference patterns for AI and data. Drive the direction for information and data architecture, including data domains, information structure, interoperability, and data ownership models. Ensure alignment between business needs, AI initiatives, data platforms, and TMHE's collective Enterprise Architecture model. Translate business and transformation needs into architectural guidance and decision support in relevant governance and investment forums. Collaborate with the AI program, the Data team, Solution Architects, CISO, and Legal to support scalable, secure, and compliant solutions. Support business areas in exploring and scaling data-driven and AI-based capabilities. Contribute to architecture governance and architecture reviews from an AI and data perspective. Strengthen the organization's architectural understanding, working methods, and maturity.

You build trust through a pedagogical and non-pretentious working style and thrive in an environment where freedom under responsibility is a natural part of everyday life.
Requirements
You do not need to be the deepest specialist in all areas, but you must have the ability to unite business, data, AI, security, and architecture perspectives into a cohesive direction.
Relevant academic degree, or alternatively, extensive experience that compensates for this. Broad and documented experience in Enterprise Architecture or related strategic architecture roles. Experience working with business stakeholders, leading structured dialogues, and translating needs into architectural guidance and decision support. Experience working in data-driven environments where data and AI capabilities impact business processes, governance, and compliance (e.g., the EU's AI Act). Good understanding of data-driven architecture as well as how processes, data, applications, and platforms interact to create business value. Good communication skills and experience in explaining complex issues clearly and pragmatically, as well as influencing and building trust with stakeholders at various levels.
