Monitoring and Observability Analyst - Pleno

Responsibilities and assignments

• Handle critical demands;
• Register and forward tickets via ServiceNow;
• Provide support to internal customers regarding problems related to the monitoring solution;
• Create, change, and remove monitoring items and indicators;
• Act preventively on risks and incidents;
• Test and reproduce problems to assist in correction;
• Conduct automation initiatives for process optimization;
• Map business processes with teams for better solution integration;
• Participate in ceremonies, meetings, and change committees;
• Guide those involved on monitoring best practices;
• Foster relationships with internal/external partners and ensure compliance with SLAs;
• Implement simple automations for repetitive monitoring tasks;
• Participate in incident investigation, collecting and analyzing relevant data;
• Propose improvements in monitoring processes based on observations;
• Perform initial analysis of logs, metrics, and traces for problem diagnosis.

Requirements and qualifications

• Monitoring Solutions: Solid experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Dynatrace;
• Operating Systems: Mastery of Linux and Windows Server for administration and troubleshooting;
• Networks: In-depth knowledge of networks and protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, load balancing);
• Webservices/API: Knowledge for monitoring;
• Programming and Databases: Knowledge in general programming and in databases for performance analysis;
• Tools and Methodologies: ServiceNow, Agile Methodologies and Frameworks, Office 365;
• Technical English: Reading and writing;
• Concepts: Mastery of metrics, logs, traces, and observability concepts (SLOs, SLIs);
• Scripting: Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for task automation and tool integration;
• Cloud: Experience with monitoring cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
