Barista

As a Barista, you will be the face of our brand, responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Hospitality Greet all customers warmly and provide prompt, friendly service. Educate customers on coffee origins, flavor profiles, and menu items. Accurately take orders and process payments using the POS system (cash and credit). Resolve customer complaints politely and professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
Beverage & Food Preparation Expertly prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including espresso drinks, pour-overs, teas, and blended drinks, following standard recipes.
Operate coffee brewing equipment (espresso machine, grinders, brewers) safely and correctly.
Prepare and serve food items (pastries, sandwiches, etc.) according to health and safety guidelines.
Maintain consistency in taste and presentation to ensure quality control.
Operations & Maintenance Keep the coffee bar, seating area, and restrooms clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the shift.
Restock retail items, cups, lids, and ingredients as needed.
Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock or equipment issues.
Calibrate espresso grinders and brewers daily to ensure quality extraction.
Adhere to all health, safety, and sanitation regulations (food handling, temperature logs, etc.).
Job Requirements Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a bar, restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment. Good knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, and beverage service. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Positive, service-oriented attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Able to work weekends, public holidays, and rotating shifts.
