Your tasks

• We have a vacancy for a business and community developer!

Ulvik herad is seeking an engaged and development-oriented employee who will play a central role in the work of strengthening the local community, the business sector, and tourism in the municipality. We are looking for you who are passionate about community development, enjoy collaboration, and want to turn ideas into concrete results.

As a business and community developer, you will work at the intersection of public administration, the business sector, and residents. You will be responsible for initiating, coordinating, and following up on development projects that contribute to sustainable growth and attractive local communities.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Serve as the municipality's contact point for businesses and entrepreneurs
• Facilitate business development and entrepreneurship. Tourism is a well-established industry in Ulvik and will be an important field of work
• Develop and follow up on strategies, plans, and projects within business development, tourism, and community development
• Collaborate closely with local businesses, destination companies, regional actors, and public authorities
• Apply for and manage grant schemes and project funds
• Prepare plans for business and community development
• Initiate and contribute to cross-sectoral collaboration in the municipality to promote development
• Coordinate measures that strengthen attractive living environments, center development, and inward migration
• Follow up on political decisions and prepare case documents for political processing
• Represent the municipality in regional networks and cooperation forums
• Contribute to the profiling and reputation building of Ulvik as a place to live, visit, and establish businesses
• Overall responsibility for Cittaslow and the tourist office

Requirements

Qualifications

• Relevant higher education within some of these fields: Community development, business development, economics and management, tourism, or equivalent
• Experience from project management, development work, or public administration
• Experience with grant applications and project financing
• Good written and oral communication skills in Norwegian and English
• A good understanding of the interaction between politics, administration, and the business sector
• Driver's license, class B
