Your tasks
Within the project steering and product range architecture team of the Advanced Turbine Blades platform (PFX - Safran Tech), the range architect will provide technical support to materials and processes engineers by leveraging simulation and acting as a link between the design office and the technical brand. They will ensure the consistency of the part manufacturing range to meet manufacturability and operational requirements. They will work in close collaboration with the industrialization pilots on the Safran Aircraft Engines side.
Their main missions will be:
- To build the quality, cost, schedule, and performance (QCDP) strategy of the project;
- To define the optimized production path;
- To perform transverse project management while being responsible for the associated budget;
- To arbitrate choices within the technical building blocks by mastering impacts and risks;
- To perform the transverse risk analysis of the project by relying on the risk analyses of the materials and processes engineers;
- To determine, with the NDT teams, the appropriate control range for each manufacturing step;
- To build the physical and digital experimental plan, based on risk analysis and the QCDP strategy;
- To contribute to the definition of manufacturable geometries with the Design Office, materials and processes engineers, as well as all stakeholders;
- To contribute to the analysis of the experimental plan and the definition of action plans;
- To lead experimental tests for the understanding and optimization of the manufacturing range;
- To ensure the link between the different "expertise hubs" (Technical Brand, Design Office, Process Engineer, Methods Office, process simulation);
- To transmit to the project's industrialization pilot all the keys necessary for the manufacturing of serial parts;
- To perform technological monitoring and benchmarking;
- To contribute to the proposal of innovative solutions and to open us up to disruptive technologies.
Requirements
You hold a Master's degree (Bac +5) or a PhD (Bac +8) and have significant experience in the field of materials and multidisciplinary transverse project management in an industrial environment. You have both an appetite for R&T and experience in production. The desired knowledge for this position is:
- Project management and transverse management
- Systems approach and functional analysis
- A materials background with in-depth skills in either ceramics or high-performance alloys, more specifically nickel-based;
- Organizational, teamwork, synthesis, and communication skills;
- English: reading, speaking, and writing.
Do you also enjoy exchanging, learning, and training, and are you sensitive to industrial issues with a desire to provide robust solutions? Do you have good communication skills, are you recognized for your leadership, and do you enjoy managing a team transversally? Dynamism, rigor, intellectual curiosity, passion, and a true ability to propose disruptive solutions are qualities that characterize you?
