Enterprise Architect (Hybrid Cloud & AI)

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect with deep expertise in hybrid cloud architecture and a proven ability to leverage Artificial Intelligence to drive business and technology transformation. This is a strategic yet hands-on role where you will serve as the primary technical authority for complex, large-scale architecture engagements — bridging business objectives with scalable, secure, and future-ready technology solutions.

You will work across multi-cloud and on-premises environments, leading architecture design from concept through to delivery, while embedding AI-driven capabilities into enterprise platforms. A significant portion of our engagements involves government and regulated-industry clients, so comfort operating within secure, compliance-driven, and at times air-gapped environments is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Enterprise Architecture Leadership

• Define and govern enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and roadmaps aligned to organizational strategy and technology vision
• Lead architecture reviews, design authority forums, and technical governance boards across programmes and platforms
• Translate complex business requirements into coherent, implementable architecture blueprints covering application, data, infrastructure, and security domains
• Drive architectural decision-making using structured frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or equivalent
• Serve as trusted technical advisor to C-suite, senior stakeholders, and client leadership, articulating architecture trade-offs and strategic options clearly

☁️ Hybrid Cloud Architecture

• Architect and govern hybrid cloud solutions spanning on-premises data centres and multiple cloud providers, with AWS as the primary cloud platform
• Design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native and cloud-hybrid architectures incorporating microservices, containerisation (Kubernetes, Docker), and serverless patterns
• Lead cloud migration strategy and execution — including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and re-architecting workloads — with clear governance over cost, performance, and security
• Define and enforce infrastructure-as-code (IaC) standards using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or equivalent
• Architect multi-account AWS environments using AWS Landing Zone, Control Tower, and Well-Architected Framework best practices
• Evaluate and integrate complementary cloud platforms (Azure, GCP) where multi-cloud strategies are required
• Ensure architecture compliance with relevant cloud security frameworks including CSA CCM, MAS TRM, IM8, and GCC where applicable

AI & Intelligent Systems Integration

• Lead the architecture and integration of AI and machine learning capabilities into enterprise platforms and workflows
• Design end-to-end AI solution architectures including data ingestion pipelines, model training and serving infrastructure, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) systems, and agentic AI workflows
• Architect LLMOps and MLOps platforms for model lifecycle management, monitoring, retraining, and governance including drift detection and hallucination mitigation
• Define AI infrastructure patterns for both cloud-native deployments (AWS SageMaker, AWS Bedrock) and constrained or air-gapped environments where standard cloud tooling is unavailable
• Evaluate and recommend AI orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent) and embedding/vector store technologies for enterprise-scale deployments
• Embed responsible AI principles — fairness, explainability, security, and auditability — into architecture standards and design patterns
• Identify and champion opportunities where AI can generate measurable business value across client operations, replacing or augmenting manual processes

Security, Compliance & Governance

• Architect zero-trust security models and enforce least-privilege access controls across hybrid cloud and AI platforms
• Define data governance frameworks including data classification, lineage, residency, and privacy controls aligned to regulatory requirements
• Lead security architecture reviews and threat modelling for cloud and AI systems
• Ensure architecture deliverables comply with Singapore government security and compliance standards where applicable (IM8, GCC, DSS, or equivalent)
• Support eligibility for and operation within security-cleared and restricted environments

Stakeholder Engagement & Delivery

• Lead client-facing technical workshops, architecture inductions, and onboarding programmes for enterprise and government tenants
• Collaborate with engineering, data, platform, and product teams to ensure architecture intent is faithfully implemented
• Contribute to pre-sales activities including proposals, solutioning, RFP responses, and client presentations
• Mentor and develop junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning
• Produce high-quality architecture artefacts including reference architectures, solution design documents, ADRs (Architecture Decision Records), and roadmaps

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Essential Requirement Detail

1. Citizenship: Singapore Citizen (mandatory)
2. Security Clearance: Must be eligible for Singapore government security clearance (MSD CAT 2 or equivalent)
3. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a relevant discipline
4. Experience: Minimum 8 years of professional experience in enterprise or solutions architecture roles
5. Hybrid Cloud: Demonstrated experience designing and governing hybrid cloud architectures with AWS as primary platform
6. AI Integration: Hands-on experience architecting AI/ML or GenAI solutions in production environments
7. IaC Proficiency: Practical experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or equivalent IaC tooling
8. Architecture Frameworks: Working knowledge of TOGAF, AWS Well-Architected Framework, or equivalent
9. Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex architecture concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional; AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
• Additional Certifications: TOGAF 9/10 Certified; CISSP or equivalent security certification
• Multi-cloud: Exposure to Azure or GCP in multi-cloud design contexts
• Public Sector: Prior experience with Singapore government or defence clients
• DevSecOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline design, DevSecOps practices, and platform engineering patterns
• Data Architecture: Experience with enterprise data architecture including data mesh, data lakehouse, or real-time streaming patterns
