Program Analyst

About the Position: Serves as a Program Analyst for USSOAC, analyzes and interprets Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA), United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), and United States Special Operations Command (USSOAC).

Major duties

• Evaluate USASOAC programming inputs to Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs) to identify potential programmatic implications.
• Monitor USASOAC equities within the USASOC Ground Commodity Portfolio to ensure requirements are synchronized in accordance with command objectives.
• Analyze command resource inputs against Planning, Programming, and Budgeting Execution System (PPBES) milestones to identify funding inconsistencies.
• Manage the coordination status of command capability requirement documents (such as CDDs and ICDDs) to support timely submission timelines.
• Represent the USSOAC G8 during panel meetings and EXCOM briefings to defend command Program Objective Memorandum (POM) submissions.

Preparing Program Objective Memorandum (POM) inputs within the Department of Defense Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. 2. Developing written reclamas to defend organizational funding and resource requirements against budget reductions. 3. Presenting long-range programming data and resource requirements to senior military or civilian leadership.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
