SUPERVISORY DIVE MANAGER

Major duties

• You will oversee all underwater ship husbandry, maintenance, repairs, conversions, and overhauls for both nuclear and conventional vessels.
• You will manage the overall safety program and eliminate all occupational hazards for diving assets and boat operations across multiple naval bases.
• You will maintain a fully trained and qualified workforce capable of executing safe diving and boat operations.
• You will develop future workforce planning and personal management programs.
• You will provide direct management and oversight with assigning work based on capabilities, conducting performance appraisals, and handling hiring, discipline, and awards.
• You will have oversight of all ancillary support equipment (compressors, hydraulic power units, trucks, boats, barges, air pumps, and rigging) used to support Navy Diving operations and underwater repairs.
• You will develop and manage budget for training, facilities, equipment, and mission capabilities.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector developing all diving related services to include safe dive craft/boat operations in support of Underwater Ship Husbandry (UWSH) repairs for long-range fiscal budgets / plan that ensure diving and afloat assets match future mission workloads.
