IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/CUSTSPT)
You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT/SYSADMIN) in the Naval Surface & Mine Warfighting Dev Center of COMNAVSURFMINEWARDEVCEN.
Major duties
- You will support (SMWDC) Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center's strategic mission as primary point of contact.
- You will create security groups and share drive access support for SMWDC mission requirements for user access to networks.
- You will perform as primary advocate to facilitate networks to ensure contracts are executed and user and mission requirements are met.
- You will provide division coordination, oversight, and direction to Commander Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center Division to ensure adherence to network program processes, initiatives and data calls.
- You will independently monitor networks service level agreements, and analyze and monitor reports or site-specific technical problems, and escalating networks issues.
- You will coordinate the delivery of networks services to meet SMWDC requirements.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Involves installing, troubleshooting, and configuring hardware, software, info systems, and IT related equipment. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. Education
Posses a successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management. OR Posses a successfully completed 3 full years of progressively higher graduate level education in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; or, graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
