INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPEC (ISSM)
You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (ISSM) in the N6 Communications Department of NAVAL OCEAN PROCESS FACILITY DAM NECK.
Major duties
- You will monitor, assess, and report security measures for recordable media (e.g., classifying, labeling, and tracking physical/digital media assets).
- You will utilize baseline control principles, change management processes, and the role of a Configuration Control Board (CCB) in preserving network integrity.
- You will provide timely and accurate acoustic cueing to operating and supporting forces and conduct continuous maritime surveillance.
- You will serve as the ISSM and the focal point for all Information Security (IS) policies and procedures related to cybersecurity.
- You will analyze Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) alerts and Cyber Directives to verify timely implementation.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying practical knowledge of baseline control principles, cybersecurity and IA policies, and federal/DOD directives, to monitor, assess, and preserve network integrity within an organization.
