THEATER SECURITY COOPERATION PLANS SPECIALIST
You will serve as a Theater Security Cooperation Plans Specialist in the Marine Corps Forces, Pacific Division of MARINE FORCES PACIFIC. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: DE-13021971-26-PMR. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement.
Major duties
- Serves as an expert authority on matters related to Political-Military affairs and provides knowledge of operational theaters, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region and Middle East.
- Provide technical leadership assistance to Staff in the development of supporting Theater Security Cooperation Plans, to include; strategies, goals, objectives, and measures of effectiveness that support objectives.
- Review and analyze subordinate commands supporting Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) plans and initiatives for adequacy, conformance, and suitability.
- Provide advice on inputting data into the Theater Security Cooperation Information Management System (TSCMIS); advice on OPLANS that impact TSC activities; and provide advice on obtaining internal and external funding.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a classified and unclassified policy homepage, prepare project papers, staff reports, naval messages, and other documentation.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, assessing, analyzing, and evaluating project requirements associated with foreign military engagements; 2) Performing duties with limited direct supervision and guidance, along with a comprehensive ability to work well under pressure with few guidelines, exercising personal initiative and originality, sound judgment, and persistence in meeting required outputs; 3) Delivering briefings to senior leadership and executing international travel independently and support senior leader engagements with foreign military partners from international travel destinations; and 4) Working collaboratively with other staff members to ensure the full scope of cross-functional information requirements are developed and promulgated.
