HOUSING MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Major duties
- You will monitor the financial health of the housing program, review long-term plans for property improvements, and evaluate property management performance.
- You will serve as a point of contact for the contracted Property Manager to ensure compliance with established business agreement requirements.
- You will assist in resolving complex housing issues involving lease terms, tenant-landlord concerns, services, housing utilization, and Fair Housing requirements.
- You will develop, draft, and review policies, procedures, budgets, and management plans based on current and anticipated housing program requirements.
- You will coordinate with real estate agencies, landlords, community organizations, schools, utility providers, and local government agencies and provide housing-related information to residents and the community.
- You will conduct surveys and inspections, prepare financial and program reports, respond to audit and inspection findings, and assist with correcting identified deficiencies.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Overseeing coordination and scheduling of repair, renovation, and other work efforts for a Housing organization, Analyzing proposed programs and legislation affecting housing, housing construction or funding requirements for housing programs, assisting with and resolving issues relative to policy development, policy interpretation and implementation of housing activities..
