You will serve as a General Supply Specialist of MARCORSYSCOM.

Major duties

  • You will serve as the recognized subject matter expert and principal advisor on the control, accountability, and transfer of government-furnished property to external organizations, including contractors and other government agencies.
  • You will independently interpret and apply a comprehensive knowledge of supply operations, property management, and contract management principles and policies to ensure the effective administration and oversight of all government property.
  • You will evaluate current Department of Navy and United States Marine Corps policies to ensure that Marine Corps Systems Command property management procedures are fully compliant with all audit, accountability, and regulatory requirements.
  • You will develop and recommend improvements to property management policies and internal controls to address emerging issues, mitigate risks, and ensure the complete integrity of property accountability throughout the entire organization.
  • You will provide authoritative guidance and technical expertise to senior leadership, program managers, and external stakeholders on complex property transfer issues, including the interpretation of policy and resolution of unique situations.
  • You will collaborate with the Portfolio Acquisition Executive Marine Corps to develop functional guidance and business processes for the management of government-furnished property, loans, and bailments, including property held for fielding.
  • You will conduct comprehensive research, audits, reconciliations, and data analysis using advanced automated information systems to ensure accurate and timely logistics support and maintain strict property accountability standards.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or NH-02 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Knowledge of supply processes to include inventory, issuing processes, disposition and knowledge of weapon supply/accountability procedures. 2. Ability to plan, organize, direct and control supply support and material management operations. 3. Ability to analyze problems identify significant factors, gathers pertinent data, and recognizes solutions.
