FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Major duties

• You will assist in the formulation of budgets, cost estimates, and analysis in support of projects, programs, and activities.
• You will utilize financial systems, automation and moderate analytical tools to improve efficiency, accuracy and audit readiness.
• You will prepare financial reports, summaries and recommendations that support corrective actions and resource planning.
• You will monitor obligations and expenditures to identify trends, discrepancies and performance issues affecting financial operations, resource utilization and overall program effectiveness.
• You will supports financial forecasting and resource planning while performing financial processes that ensure auditability, accuracy, and effective use of resources
• You will resolve commonly encountered issues in accounting operations, such as data discrepancies, timing variances, and procedural deviations, ensuring continuity and compliance across specialized financial functions.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Reviewing, evaluating and submitting budget requests and cost estimates, tracking and reporting obligations and expenditures, utilizing financial systems, automation and moderate analytical tools, and standard financial software and systems, and preparing financial reports, summaries and recommendations that support corrective actions and resource planning. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, applicants may qualify for the position based on education. To qualify based on education, applicant must possess: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related Applicant can also qualify through a combination of graduate education and experience which when combined, equals 100%, Transcripts must be submitted to verify educational requirements.
