EXERCISE PLANNER

You will serve as a EXERCISE PLANNER in the AC/S G-3 OPERATIONS DIVISION of MARINE FORCES PACIFIC.

Major duties

• You will be the authority for the coordination and execution of assigned Joint Exercise Program exercises security operation activities for its operational forces.
• You will coordinate efforts and synchronize directed activities and execute/refine planning products and procedures from multiple DoD, and Combatant Commander (CCDR) directorates.
• You will interpret inputs from a wide spectrum of data sources and develop recommended courses of action for the planning and execution of Joint Exercises.
• You will participate in future operations planning and operational plan development as directed, and to ensure alignment of exercises and emerging operational objectives.
• You will produce staff papers and briefs for the situational awareness of to higher authority echelons to staff and provide input to the Commander's Update brief as required.
• You will maintain an up-to-date library of orders, instructions, and directives pertaining to the management of the Joint Exercise program.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing, planning, and coordinating joint operational exercises and activities through communication and coordination with higher, adjacent, and subordinate commands; developing solutions to complex operational issues in support of theater strategic goals.
