Inventory Management Specialist
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the ST-IC-W0JAAA US ARMY COUNTERINTELLIGENCE COMMAND.
Major duties
- Identifies inventory discrepancies, shortages, and unserviceable items and reports them promptly to the supervisor.
- Prepares and maintains primary hand receipts and sub-hand receipts, executing issues, turn-ins, and adjustment documents.
- Reconciles on-hand property against the TDA and other authorization documents, preparing excess/shortage reports and requests for authorization changes.
- Analyzes loss, damage, and shortage trends to determine root causes and implements corrective supply discipline measures with command-level metrics.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS/GG-09). Specialized experience is defined as experience 1) executing procurement actions for expendable, durable, nonexpendable, and service requirements using the Government Purchase Card, MILSTRIP requisitioning; 2) coordinating office relocations, overseeing facility maintenance and environmental compliance; AND 3) managing equipment authorizations against authorization documents, and operating automated property and maintenance. OR Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR three (3) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Human Resources or Business Administration. OR Specialized experience as described above, but less than one year; AND at least two years of graduate education as described above, but less than the required three years. To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
