Electrical Hardware Engineer - Robotics & Automation
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and cable-harness designs using SolidWorks Electrical or equivalent ECAD tools.
- Design and update power distribution, wiring systems, electrical components and interfaces for robotic and automation platforms.
- Build and integrate prototypes, including wiring, harnesses, control panels and electrical assemblies.
- Install, commission and test electrical systems in laboratory, factory and field environments.
- Troubleshoot electrical and hardware issues and implement improvements based on test and field feedback.
- Create and maintain BOMs, component specifications, revision histories, engineering changes and technical documentation.
- Coordinate technical requirements and deliverables with suppliers, development partners and contract manufacturers.
- Support engineering handover to production, manufacturing and service teams while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline, with 0–3 years of relevant experience.
- Hands-on ability with electrical schematics and cable/harness design; SolidWorks Electrical is preferred, while other ECAD tools are welcome.
- Practical understanding of electrical components, wiring, power distribution, prototype integration and basic troubleshooting.
- Strong documentation discipline and the ability to work independently while collaborating across engineering teams and external partners.
- Experience with AGV/AMR systems, industrial automation, control panels, commissioning, or embedded C and MCU-based PCBAs will be an advantage.
