Project Manager

Key Responsibilities Oversee projects from design review and estimation through material sourcing, production, QA/QC, and final delivery.

Coordinate with workshop supervisors, machinists, and fabricators to schedule production runs, optimize machine utilization, and meet critical delivery deadlines.

Track material costs, labor hours, and operational expenses to deliver projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing technical consultation, regular milestone updates, and change-order management.

Manage relationships with raw material suppliers, subcontracted services (e.g., surface treatments, coating, specialized machining), and logistics partners.

Ensure all project work complies with technical drawings, industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, or relevant fabrication codes), and workshop safety regulations (WSH/OSHA).

Identify workflow bottlenecks on the project and implement continuous improvement strategies (Lean/5S) to boost efficiency and minimize material scrap.

Requirements Minimum of 2 years of hands-on project management or project engineering experience a related industrial manufacturing environment.

Ability to interpret detailed engineering drawings, CAD/CAM models, weld symbols, and bill of materials (BOMs).

Familiarity with standard fabrication processes (e.g., CNC milling/turning, laser cutting, sheet metal bending, welding techniques such as TIG/MIG, and surface finishing).

Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related technical discipline (equivalent practical experience will also be considered).

Proven track record in managing project timelines, project budgets, and multi-disciplinary teams; familiarity with project tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, Asana, Monday.com, or ERP software).

Strong interpersonal skills to effectively liaise between corporate clients and workshop craftspeople.
