Azure Infra Architect

Azure Infrastructure Architect Rate: Up to £495 per day Duration: 3-6 Months Location: London (Remote-first with occasional onsite visits) Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance Essential Overview We are seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Architect to support a major cloud transformation programme. This role will focus on the design, governance, and delivery of enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure solutions, with particular emphasis on Azure Arc , hybrid cloud environments, automation, and infrastructure-as-code. The successful candidate will provide architectural leadership across multiple Azure environments, ensuring consistency and alignment from development and testing through to pre-production and live production environments. Working closely with the Identity Lead Architect and Azure delivery teams, you will play a key role in shaping a secure, scalable, and automated cloud platform. Key Responsibilities Lead the architecture and design of Azure infrastructure solutions across complex enterprise environments. Define and drive Azure transformation strategies, ensuring alignment with business and technical objectives. Design and implement hybrid cloud solutions leveraging Azure Arc and modern hybrid worker capabilities. Establish and govern Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) deployment frameworks using Terraform and Bicep . Design, oversee, and optimise CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure and platform deployments. Ensure consistency and governance across development, test, pre-production, and production Azure tenants. Provide architectural oversight for cloud platform standards, security controls, and operational processes. Collaborate with Identity, Integration, and Infrastructure teams to align Azure services with broader enterprise architecture. Support the integration of iPaaS and identity technologies within the Azure ecosystem. Deliver technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle. Create and maintain architecture documentation, standards, and best practices. Support troubleshooting, optimisation, and continuous improvement initiatives across Azure environments. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience operating as an Azure Infrastructure Architect within large-scale enterprise environments. Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure cloud architecture and transformation programmes. Hands-on experience with Azure Arc and hybrid cloud environments. Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure design, governance, and operational best practices. Experience designing and managing infrastructure deployment frameworks using: Terraform Bicep

Demonstrated ability to design and steer enterprise CI/CD pipeline strategies. Experience managing and governing multiple Azure tenants across different environments. Strong understanding of cloud security, identity integration, and platform governance. Experience aligning Azure infrastructure with identity and integration platforms (iPaaS). Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
