Fleet Manager

Job Responsibilities

Fleet Asset Management: Full lifecycle administration for company-owned vehicles including fleet ledger maintenance, annual inspections, maintenance and vehicle scrapping. Driver Management: Lead driver recruitment, shift arrangement, safety training, attendance tracking and incident accountability. Transport Dispatching: Coordinate overall transport capacity, monitor in-transit status, and ensure on-time cargo delivery. Cost Control: Manage fleet expenditures covering fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance, insurance, toll and road fees. Accident & Claim Handling: Manage traffic accidents and cargo damage incidents, prepare claim documents and follow up insurance compensation progress. Compliance & Records Management: Archive transport, customs clearance and maintenance documents; compile monthly fleet operation reports.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above; minimum 10 years of practical management experience with self-owned fleets. Experience managing a fleet of over 100 vehicles is preferred; valid truck driving license is an advantage. Solid knowledge of vehicle maintenance, insurance procedures and accident claims; proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report preparation. Capable of leading driver teams, possess excellent communication & coordination skills, with strong awareness of risk prevention and cost control. Additional requirement for Ghana overseas position: Good English reading and writing ability; familiar with local Ghana traffic regulations and customs freight rules.
