Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer bookings, enquiries, and service requests, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution.
- Build and maintain good working relationships with customers to support their logistics requirements and service expectations.
- Escalate complex issues or exceptions to the Team Lead or Manager when required.
- Coordinate with agents, carriers, vendors, overseas offices, and customers to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Process daily operational activities, including permit declarations, shipment documentation, delivery arrangements, and survey coordination.
- Ensure shipments are processed accurately and completed within established timelines.
- Update shipment details, freight costs, and operational information in Cargowise and other relevant systems.
- Prepare and send shipping documents, billing invoices, and pre-alerts to customers promptly.
- Support the preparation of operational reports and assist in monitoring shipment performance.
- Participate in process improvement and digitalization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and quality, safety, legal, and ethical requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to new team members when required.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or ocean freight operations.
- Basic knowledge of shipping documentation, customs permits, and freight processes.
- Experience using Cargowise or similar freight management systems is preferred.
- Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook.
