Treasury Accountant

Role overview An opportunity has arisen for a Treasury Accountant to join the finance team and take responsibility for cash-flow reporting, banking relationships, corporation tax administration and a range of company secretarial duties. This is a varied and hands-on position requiring someone reliable, organised and comfortable managing several areas of financial and corporate administration. Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly cash-flow forecasts
• Monitor daily cash positions across the business
• Support cash management and treasury planning
• Maintain effective relationships with banks and other financial providers
• Administer bank accounts, mandates, authorised signatories and online banking access
• Coordinate corporation tax information and support the preparation of tax returns
• Liaise with external tax advisers and respond to information requests
• Assist with tax payment calculations and monitor relevant deadlines
• Complete and submit Office for National Statistics returns
• Support statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
• Maintain company registers and statutory records
• Coordinate Companies House filings and ensure deadlines are met
• Prepare board papers, agendas and supporting information
• Attend board meetings where required and produce accurate minutes
• Maintain records of board decisions and follow up outstanding actions
• Support the administration of company insurance, professional advisers and other corporate matters
• Assist with year-end audit requirements and provide supporting information
• Undertake general financial analysis and administrative duties as required

Experience and skills

• Previous experience within an accounting, treasury or company secretarial position
• Good understanding of cash-flow reporting and financial administration
• Strong Excel and general systems skills
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail
• Comfortable managing confidential and commercially sensitive information

£35-£40k with strong benefits package

The role could suit an experienced accountant looking for a varied position or someone with a strong treasury and financial administration background. Formal accountancy qualifications would be useful but are not necessarily essential where the individual has suitable practical experience.
