Become part of the Data Strategy & Management team as a Data Catalog Manager (f/m/d) and support us in building a trustworthy and transparent data ecosystem at TÜV SÜD. In this role, you will be responsible for the introduction, governance, and continuous development of our Enterprise Data Catalog. Working closely with Data Owners, Data Stewards, business departments, and technical teams, you will ensure that data objects are understandable, findable, and effectively managed throughout their entire lifecycle.

Tasks

• Responsibility for the introduction, governance, and continuous development of the Enterprise Data Catalog within TÜV SÜD
• Collaboration with Data Owners, Data Stewards, and business departments to establish and maintain trustworthy metadata, uniform business terms, responsibilities, and governance processes
• Support in the development and operationalization of Data Governance standards as well as the definition of roles and responsibilities
• Central point of contact for topics related to metadata management, business glossary, Data Catalog, and Data Governance
• Monitoring and evaluating the use of the Data Catalog, metadata quality, as well as the maturity level of Data Governance and identification of potential for improvement
• Moderation and coordination of alignment and communication measures to promote Data Catalog usage and to anchor Data Governance practices within the company

Qualifications

• At least three years of professional experience in the areas of Data Management, Data Governance, Information Management, Business Analysis, Product Management, or a comparable role
• Practical experience with Data Catalog solutions, metadata management, Business Glossaries, Data Stewardship, Data Quality Management, or Master Data Management is an advantage
• Strong understanding of business processes as well as the ability to translate business requirements into sustainable data management practices
• Very good skills in stakeholder management and communication, as well as the ability to work effectively with business and IT teams
• Strong moderation and organizational skills with the ability to steer discussions, align stakeholders, and promote the acceptance of new processes and governance structures
• Business fluent English skills in speaking and writing
