Depot Specialist (Robotaxi Fleet Operations)

About the position We are looking for Depot Specialists to support the daily operations of autonomous vehicle (AV) and robotaxi fleets in Europe. As a Depot Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring that autonomous vehicles are clean, charged, inspected, and ready for daily deployment. From a dedicated robotaxi depot, you will support vehicle preparation, fleet readiness, inventory management, and depot operations that enable safe and reliable autonomous ride-hailing services. This position is suitable for people who enjoy field work, are highly organized, and thrive in fast-paced operational environments. No previous experience in autonomous vehicles is required: training will be provided. By joining the team, you will directly contribute to the launch, operation, and scaling of robotaxi fleets and autonomous mobility services in several European cities.

Key Responsibilities Fleet Preparation

Prepare autonomous vehicles for daily robotaxi fleet operations.

Ensure each vehicle is cleaned, inspected, charged, and ready for deployment before the start of each shift.

Verify the cleanliness and condition of cameras, LiDAR, radar, mirrors, sensors, windows, and interiors to support the performance of the self-driving system.

Perform pre-deployment and post-shift inspections according to established procedures.

Monitor battery levels and charging schedules for autonomous electric vehicles.

Depot Operations

Support daily robotaxi depot operations by coordinating vehicle movements, parking, charging, and positioning.

Assist with vehicle dispatch and return processes.

Organize parking areas to optimize operational efficiency.

Maintain depot cleanliness and ensure work area compliance with safety standards.

Coordinate vehicle availability with Safety Operators, Technicians, and Operations Leads.

Vehicle Support

Perform basic functional checks before deployment.

Check tires, lighting, fluid levels, charging equipment, and general vehicle condition.

Identify cosmetic damage or operational issues requiring technical inspection.

Escalate maintenance needs to Senior Technicians or SDS Specialists.

Support vehicle recovery and transport activities when necessary.

Inventory and Logistics

Maintain inventory of cleaning products, charging accessories, PPE, and operational equipment.

Track inventory usage and report replenishment needs.

Receive deliveries and organize depot storage areas.

Assist with logistics necessary for fleet expansion and new depot launches.

Documentation and Compliance

Complete digital inspection checklists and fleet readiness reports.

Record vehicle status, charging information, and operational observations.

Adhere to depot safety procedures and company operational standards.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing fleet availability, reducing downtime, and improving operational efficiency.

Requirements Essential

Valid driver's license.

Comfortable driving electric and conventional vehicles.

Good organizational and time management skills.

High attention to detail.

Basic computer literacy.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Comfortable in indoor and outdoor environments.

Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if necessary.

Upper-intermediate English level.

Desirable

Experience in fleet operations, logistics, warehousing, automotive detailing, or transport.

Experience with electric vehicles (EV).

Basic mechanical knowledge.

Experience in 24/7 environments.

Forklift certification or logistics experience is a plus.
