Assistant Dormitory Manager (West)

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the migrant worker dormitory and ensure the site remains safe, secure, clean and operational.
• Plan and coordinate manpower deployment, duty rosters, site inspections and daily operational activities.
• Supervise Operations Executives, Admin Executives, Ground Workers and outsourced service providers.
• Ensure compliance withapplicable regulatory requirements, company policies, SOPs and site procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of resident rooms, common areas, facilities, fire-safety provisions and surrounding areas.
• Oversee resident occupancy, check-in/check-out, room movements, welfare matters, feedback and complaints.
• Coordinate maintenance and rectification works and monitor contractors and vendors to ensure works are completed satisfactorily.
• Oversee security, access control, housekeeping, hygiene, pest control and overall site condition.
• Manage and respond to operational incidents and emergencies in accordance with the site's Emergency Response Plan (ERP).
• Maintain accurate operational records and prepare reports, incident updates and other required documentation.
• Liaise with residents, employers, contractors, government agencies and internal departments where required.
• Support audits, regulatory inspections, emergency exercises and other operational initiatives.
• Perform other operational duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Operations Management, Facilities Management, Security Management, Building Services, Workplace Safety & Health or a related discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
• Relevant supervisory experience, preferably in migrant worker dormitory operations, accommodation, facilities management, security, estate management or a similar 24/7operational environment.
• Good leadership and people-management skills.
• Able to handle operational incidents and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Good communication, coordination and report-writing skills.
• Familiarity with dormitory regulatory requirements and FEDA requirements would be an advantage.
• CERT, First Aid, fire-safety, WSH or other emergency-response training would be advantageous.
