Responsibilities:

Review project scope, technical requirements, deliverables, timelines and resources before implementation.

Develop implementation plans, schedules, task assignments, milestones and escalation paths.

Allocate work across Network and Systems Engineers based on skills, workload and development needs.

Lead project kick-offs, progress meetings, dependency tracking and risk escalation.

Coordinate with Sales, Solutions, Project, Procurement and Service teams for smooth project delivery and handover.

Ensure proper testing, change control, customer acceptance, documentation and project closure.

Provide technical leadership for network projects involving routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, VPNs and related technologies.

Support systems infrastructure projects covering physical/virtual servers, storage, backup, Microsoft environments and VMware.

Review designs, configurations and implementation plans to ensure they are secure, supportable and aligned with best practices.

Lead resolution of complex technical issues and project escalations.

Maintain accurate technical documentation, diagrams, configurations, test results and handover records.

Standardise engineering practices through checklists, reusable processes and lessons learned.

Lead, coach and develop engineers through clear expectations, regular feedback, mentoring and training opportunities.

Manage workload, team performance and wellbeing while fostering accountability and collaboration.

Strengthen cooperation and knowledge sharing between Network and Systems teams.

Maintain professional customer communication and ensure work is delivered securely with minimal disruption.

Use customer feedback, incidents and project lessons to drive continuous improvement.

Support technical presentations, site surveys, solution validation and presales activities when required.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of relevant infrastructure engineering experience, including several years in a senior engineer, project lead or team lead capacity.
• Strong hands-on experience in enterprise networking, preferably with Cisco or comparable technologies.
• Good working knowledge of server infrastructure and VMware virtualisation; familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, storage and backup is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience planning and delivering infrastructure implementation or migration projects.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, VMware VCP, Microsoft or equivalent are advantageous but practical capability and leadership maturity are equally important.
