TristoneNash are working with a leading housing provider to recruit an experienced Compliance Safety Manager for an initial 3-6 month contract.

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will lead the resident and property safety function, ensuring compliance programmes are well managed, risks are effectively controlled and residents feel safe in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop the Resident Safety Team, providing clear direction, support and technical leadership. Oversee statutory compliance programmes covering fire, gas, electrical, asbestos, water hygiene and lifts. Ensure inspections, servicing, risk assessments and remedial actions are completed and properly evidenced. Lead on Building Safety Act requirements, including building safety cases, safety case reports and resident engagement. Manage and monitor specialist contractors, ensuring quality, performance, safety and value for money. Maintain accurate compliance data and provide clear performance, risk and assurance reporting to senior leadership. Manage resident safety budgets, programmes and resources, identifying and addressing delivery or financial pressures. Develop and maintain resident safety policies, procedures, strategies and guidance in line with legislation and regulation. Provide expert advice and challenge across the organisation, ensuring resident safety remains at the heart of decision-making. Work collaboratively with residents, contractors, consultants and internal teams to identify risks, resolve issues and continuously improve safety services.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Resident Safety, Compliance or Building Safety professional with strong knowledge of housing compliance and property safety.

You will ideally have experience across a number of the following areas: Housing or social housing compliance Building safety and the Building Safety Act 2022 Fire safety and FRA programmes Gas and electrical compliance Asbestos and water hygiene Lifts and property safety programmes Compliance data, reporting and assurance Contractor and contract management Team leadership and development Risk management and regulatory compliance Managing budgets and complex programmes
