Site Financial Controller
This is the senior finance role on site for our Tamworth based manufacturing client, with a genuine seat on the leadership team and the long term backing of a major international group.

You will own the finance function end to end, sitting on the site Senior Leadership Team and shaping strategy, profitability and working capital rather than simply reporting on them.
You will work closely with the Divisional Finance Director and Divisional Board, giving you real visibility across a multi layered group. For someone with ambitions towards divisional finance or a future FD role, this is a strong platform.
There is plenty to shape. The business wants someone who will challenge the control environment, improve forecasting and reporting, and make a visible difference.
The role
Reporting to the Divisional Financial Controller, you will lead site finance and a small team, covering:
- Monthly management accounts, quarterly forecasts and annual budgets, meeting all divisional and group reporting timetables
- Ownership of the costing and stock system, including product, pricing and customer profitability
- Developing P&L and cash flow forecasting, and working with the leadership team and Divisional Board to set and track KPIs
- Partnering with the business on strategic plans, growth opportunities and reducing the cost base
- Reviewing and strengthening internal controls, procedures and systems
- Oversight of purchase and sales ledgers with a focus on optimal cash flow
- Quarterly VAT, year end accounts for group consolidation, corporation tax packs and management of the audit
- Coaching and developing the finance team
What you will bring
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or qualified by experience with a strong track record at a similar level
- Manufacturing experience, ideally including standard costing and stock
- Experience within a group reporting environment and of managing auditors
- Strong commercial awareness and the confidence to challenge senior management
- Advanced Excel and data skills, with the ability to turn numbers into clear, practical insight
- A hands on, approachable style and a genuine interest in developing people
