Compliance Manager (Infrastructure Platform)

On behalf of a Digital Infrastructure platform, we need an experienced and detail-oriented Compliance Manager to oversee and strengthen the regulatory compliance framework of a Singapore-listed REIT Manager.

Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, maintaining robust governance standards and supporting the REIT Manager's compliance and risk management objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

• Oversee compliance with applicable Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) regulations, Singapore Exchange (SGX) Listing Rules, the Securities and Futures Act and relevant regulatory requirements governing REIT Managers.
• Maintain and enhance the organisation's compliance framework, policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess their implications for the REIT Manager's operations.
• Provide compliance advisory support to senior management and relevant business functions.

Compliance Monitoring & Regulatory Reporting

• Develop and execute annual compliance monitoring plans, including periodic compliance reviews and risk assessments.
• Coordinate regulatory submissions, notifications and reporting obligations to MAS and SGX, where applicable.
• Monitor compliance with applicable REIT regulatory requirements, including investment restrictions, leverage limits and interested person transaction rules.
• Maintain compliance registers, regulatory records and supporting documentation.
• Support regulatory inspections, internal audits and external compliance reviews.

Risk Management & Internal Controls

• Work closely with Finance, Investment, Asset Management and other stakeholders to identify, assess and mitigate regulatory and operational compliance risks.
• Review internal policies and procedures to strengthen governance, accountability and regulatory adherence.
• Monitor potential conflicts of interest, related-party transactions and compliance breaches.
• Support the implementation of corrective actions arising from compliance reviews and audit findings.

Stakeholder Management & Compliance Advisory

• Liaise with regulators, external legal advisers, auditors, trustees and other relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare compliance updates and reports for senior management, the Board and relevant Board Committees.
• Conduct compliance training and awareness programmes to promote a strong compliance culture.
• Provide compliance guidance on new investment initiatives, corporate transactions and business activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accountancy, Business or a related discipline.
• 6 - 10 years of relevant compliance experience, preferably within REITs, real estate investment management, asset management or other MAS-regulated financial institutions.
• Strong understanding of the Singapore regulatory framework, particularly MAS requirements, SGX Listing Rules and regulations applicable to REIT Managers. Prior compliance experience with a Singapore-listed REIT or REIT Manager, is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret and communicate regulatory requirements effectively.
• Independent, meticulous and comfortable working in a dynamic investment management environment.
• The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong regulatory knowledge, sound commercial judgement and the ability to balance regulatory obligations with business objectives. The role requires a proactive professional who can work independently while partnering effectively with senior management to maintain a robust compliance and governance environment.
