KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Cyber Risk Assessment & Technology Risk Analysis Conduct structured cybersecurity risk assessments for TRD’s new and existing technology initiatives, including software-enabled Counter-UAS solutions, connected ICT components, internal technology systems and relevant third-party platforms, using SimpleRisk to document risk scenarios, likelihood, impact, ownership and treatment requirements. Use OWASP Threat Dragon to map selected system components, data flows, trust boundaries and potential attack paths so that cyber risks can be identified before technology changes, integrations or deployments are progressed. Use Greenbone Community Edition to perform authorised vulnerability assessments on agreed in-scope ICT assets and translate identified technical weaknesses into prioritised cyber-risk records in SimpleRisk , considering both technical severity and potential business impact. Cybersecurity Governance & Control Assurance Review cybersecurity policies, risk-assessment procedures, security standards and control requirements applicable to TRD’s technology environment, and maintain associated risks, control gaps, exceptions and treatment actions in SimpleRisk . Evaluate whether security controls identified through OWASP Threat Dragon threat models and Greenbone Community Edition vulnerability findings sufficiently address the relevant cyber-risk scenarios affecting TRD’s systems and technology initiatives. Conduct structured reviews of relevant third-party technology and security controls, documenting identified control weaknesses, residual risks and required follow-up actions in SimpleRisk , while technical implementation and vendor operations remain with the responsible functions. Threat Exposure & Security Monitoring Analysis Use Wazuh to review relevant security alerts, configuration findings, vulnerability information and system-security events from agreed in-scope environments as supporting evidence for cyber-risk assessment and control review. Correlate relevant Wazuh security findings with Greenbone Community Edition vulnerability results and OWASP Threat Dragon threat scenarios to determine whether recurring technical exposure could increase the likelihood or impact of identified cyber risks. Research emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities and attack patterns relevant to connected technology, software-enabled security systems and TRD’s operating environment, and update applicable risk scenarios in SimpleRisk and OWASP Threat Dragon . Cyber Risk Mitigation & Remediation Tracking Assess confirmed security weaknesses, control deficiencies and technology-risk findings to determine appropriate risk-treatment actions, documenting proposed preventive, detective or corrective controls in SimpleRisk . Use Greenbone Community Edition and relevant Wazuh findings to support verification of whether identified vulnerabilities or recurring security exposures have been adequately addressed following remediation by the responsible technical teams. Track cyber-risk treatment actions, control deficiencies, accepted exceptions and outstanding remediation activities in SimpleRisk , escalating material or overdue risks for appropriate review without taking over system administration or technical remediation. Cyber Risk Documentation & Security Assurance Reporting Prepare structured cyber-risk assessment reports using information maintained in SimpleRisk , supported by technical evidence from Greenbone Community Edition, Wazuh and OWASP Threat Dragon , covering identified risks, affected technology, control gaps, impact assessment and recommended treatment. Maintain documented cyber-risk methodologies, threat models, assessment evidence and risk-treatment records to support consistent security governance, audit readiness and traceability across TRD’s technology environment. Present prioritised cyber-risk findings and remediation status to Management and relevant Software, System & Network, R&D and technical stakeholders, providing clear risk-based recommendations while implementation remains with the responsible technical teams. QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess technology-related risks, findings and potential business impact. Able to understand ICT systems, software-enabled environments and technology components sufficiently to support structured cybersecurity risk assessments. Strong attention to detail in documenting cyber risks, control gaps, assessment evidence, treatment actions and remediation status. Able to interpret vulnerability findings, security alerts and threat information and translate them into clear risk observations and follow-up requirements. Good documentation and reporting skills, including preparation of cyber-risk assessments, control review records and risk-treatment recommendations. Organised and able to maintain structured risk registers, assessment records and outstanding remediation actions. Willing to continuously develop knowledge of emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, security controls and cyber-risk management practices.
