*The Opportunity*

We are currently seeking a Full-Time Permanent Truck and Trailer Mechanic (Red Seal), to Complete preventative maintenance and repairs on our fleet in a timely and efficient manner. By diagnosing problems found during inspections, A or B Service and providing correct repairs the technician ensures the unit is safe and roadworthy.

*Role and Responsibilities*

• Troubleshooting, diagnostics, testing and repair of components on transport refrigeration equipment, heavy duty equipment, trailers, chassis and gensets.
• Perform Safety Inspections (MGI) as needed on our fleet, owner operator and outside customers as needed.
• Preventative maintenance and pre-trip inspections.
• Plan the workflow with the Shop Foreman.
• General maintenance and PM services for the entire fleet.
• Testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's performance specifications.
• Interpret work orders, technical manuals, inspection, and repair repos.
• Accurately entering and updating information in the maintenance software (Truckmate)
• Communicating effectively with co-workers, customers and service writer and managers as needed.
• Contribute to our positive company culture by maintaining a professional and respectful attitude.
• Instruct and assist apprentices.
• Other duties as required.

*Job Requirements*

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Red Seal Certification.
• Ability to manage a busy schedule and maintain flexibility in a high-volume workload.
• A positive, professional and motivated attitude.
• Valid class 5 driver?s license.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, emissions/after-treatment systems, and engine diagnostic systems (Paccar, Detroit, Carrier and TK) is considered an asset.
• Knowledge of reefer and gensets.
